Severnside Flower Club, Flowers and Friendship

Severnside Flower Club is affiliated to NAFAS.

(National Association of Flower Arrangment Societies, registered chartity number 1101348)

Formed 39 years ago by a small group of women, Severnside currently has over 65 members.  It continues to have fascinating monthly meetings, usually with a demonstration from an Area Demonstrator, and occasionally a National Demonstrator.  This year there have been some 'hands on' evenings which have given members much information about the direction of floral art.

Ever wondered what to do with a bunch of flowers?

Come along to our monthly meeting, for inspiration, support and fun.

  • We meet on the second Monday of every month at 6.30pm in Lydney Town Hall.
  • Severnside Flower Club has been welcoming members and demonstrators since 1971.

What do we do?

  • Club members are entertained each month by a different visiting demonstrator.
  • They come to us from all over the country, each bringing with them a wealth of colour, scents and styles to fill our stage with a feast of visual delights.
  • At the end of the evening all the displays are raffled and the lucky winners take the designs home with them.
  • Each visiting demonstrator chooses a theme which they interpret using their artistic skills
  • Approximately 7 different floral designs are produced during the evening.

Club members also:

  • Compete at club, local and national level
  • Open their gardens for charity and visit other peoples garden
  • Attend classes in floral art
  • Join in with Flower Festivals around the area
